In Bloom and Gorgeous !

 

Finally......and dare I say it .... warm weather is here to stay here in Michigan.  All of a sudden everything is in bloom and gorgeous.  All these photos I shot in my neighborhood. 

 

My whole life I have been naturally thin.  Suddenly my metabolism is slowing down and I need to start exercising and moving to maintain my weight.  My trusty puppy, Ada and I have started walking the neighborhood.  My goal for the two of us is to both shed a few pounds while enjoying the views along the way.

Life in the Fast Lane

I feel like I am driving in the fast lane but not getting to where I want to go....do you ever feel this way? We are heading to Washington DC for 4 days and we are driving a Volt. This is our current family car until February. My husband works in the renewable energy area at GM and we are lucky enough to have this cool car to drive.  It operates on electricity for 40 miles and then runs on gasoline.   I am impressed with this car and proud of GM. 
   On the way to DC we will be stopping in Pittsburgh to stay with some dear friends of ours.

  Here is my daughter Alexandra and my friends children Cassandra and Alexandra...my daughter is in the aqua..this was 2 years ago.

The girls will be getting these charming tiles I just made....

 

We when arrive in DC I will be hand delivering a wholesale order to the boutique "Rooms With A View" in beautiful Georgetown.  The owner sells my coasters and loves the French themed coaster sets of mine....
It will be nice to be in Washington DC and introduce this historic town to Alexandra. We even have a tour of the White House planned.....can't wait !  I am looking forward to a little bit of down time and relaxation in the next few days.....time to get out of the fast lane and into the slow but steady lane.

Parisian Architecture Wall Decor Tiles

These beautiful wall decor tiles were shipped out today.  Parisian Architecture tiles and  a very colorful 6 inch tile "My Other House is in France."  Will they be hung together, given as gifts.....lots of possibilities. Where would you place these beauties in your home....?

 Mollycoddle tiles have original photographic images from France and Italy printed right into century's old tumbled marble tile.  The raw marble with the old world images are the perfect combination.  All the photography is from photography I have taken from trips to France and Italy.

Market Days

Back in the day I use to go the New York Gift show and show my wares. These shows were exciting but a lot of work and money.  Now I show my wares locally getting retail sales...much better profit margin and still grow my wholesale business with stores who find me online.  Above is one of my new bird design tiles. That beautiful red robin showed up on my window sill and built a home.

 
Above are some of the beautiful drop dead gorgeous eggs tha Chole the Robin laid. I will be adding my new bird collection tiles online soon.  My darling Alexandra will be heading to 1st grade in a few weeks and I will have time to get things done.

I always love checking out the new Pantone colors related to Fashion Week. There is a lot of overlap with Clothing Design and Home Color Design. The above info on Pantone I found on Polyvore. I am thrilled to be finally moved into to my new Garden Studio at home. Orders are cranking in from existing accounts and I am also getting some interenet orders....hooray. I still lots of stuff to organize....but we will get there soon enough. I have added several new Words of Wisdom / Quotation tiles to my site.

Nesting

We have a new addition to the family. A beautiful robin created a nest right outside of our kitchen window.  

Everytime I go to the fridge to get anything.....there is this darling bird. 

 

My daughter named her Chole....! To get a glimpse of the beautiful robin's eggs, you have to open the kitchen window and step on a ladder. What a gift this bird is to us.

  
These eggs are drop dead gorgeous. Stay tuned I will be posting more photos of this silly bird ....who has taken my heart. Love her to pieces.

Well I have been on an emotional roller coaster lately. I am going between being ecstatic and elated to anxious and a bit overwhelmed about my upcoming move from my commercial studio space to my new at home garden studio. I have been at my current studio for 4.5 years... so I have accumulated a lot of goods. Send your positive karma my way.....I will be busy and plan to be in my new working studio by mid May. My blog is growing up. I have actually learned ...finally to post images on the side bar. I have always been a late bloomer....and so it is with my blog too. I am very excited for moving my business from my commercial studio space to my home. This new move will allow me to have more time for myself. The thought of being able to create product while my daughter is playing in the yard is wonderful. We live in an old cedar shingle home and my charming tiles cannot wait for their new creative space. I will keep you posted on this new exciting venture.....Molly

Easter Blessings !

 
We visted Skaneateles for Easter to visit my husband's family.  We took part in an Easter Egg Hunt which had the most adorable Easter Bunny I ever saw.

I loved the fresh flowers on the basket....what a nice touch.

All the kids were gathered up and were ready to go.  There were 4000 eggs in the park.

My daughter did quite well and gathered 17 eggs !

Alexandra is the one in the Heart Fleece...!
